Do You Like Avocados?
Are you a fan of avocados? Or do you find them unappetizing or bland? If so, then you are definitely in the same boat as me. As someone who is not a huge fan of them, I never thought a time would come when I find them tasty.
But I will say that since being on my healthy journey of working out and eating better, things have changed for the better. I have not only been cooking more, but I have to try to find ways to incorporate the foods that I don’t like into my eating lifestyle. So if you all are interested in knowing how I like to use avocados, then keep on reading.
Some Fun Facts
As most of you all may or may not know, avocados are a great source of healthy fats. Loaded with a variety of vitamins and minerals, they are easy to use for other parts of your body. Besides being great for losing weight, they are also very moisturizing. The moisturizing properties make great for a hydrating face mask or a deep conditioner for your hair especially if its curly or textured. So besides that, let’s move on to how I like using avocados.
How I Use Them
Over these past few months, I have been using them in my smoothies. I find that using them in my smoothies is the only way I can eat them. So I love doing avocado and kale smoothies or strawberry and avacados smoothies. I find that it gives my smoothie more of a creamy consistency. Almost as if I was drinking a milkshake.
To make my smoothies, I also like using almond milk and honey. So once I add that I’ll go in with the avocado in which I only use half of it and then add in my kale or strawberries. Blend it all up with a little bit of ice and my smoothie is complete. So now I have a deliciously creamy smoothie that is tasty and healthy.
