Q & A
1.) What inspired you to start doing youtube and did you always have a passion for making videos?
J: It was a way for me to express myself. Along with giving me an outlet to share my opinion and advice with others who might be struggling with the same topics or issues. Because even though I never thought of making videos as my passion, I have always been passionate about helping others.
2.) How long have you been on youtube?
J: I’ve been doing YouTube on and off now for about 6-8 years maybe?. A lot of people may think it’s easy, but it’s not. Mainly because everyone only sees the overnight success. There is a lot of hard work that people don’t see that gets them to where they need to be.
3.) Are there any youtubers you look up to or envy? If so who are they?
J: Yeah! I like Swoozie, Casey Neistat, Peter McKinnon, and some other gym channels. They each have something I like about them, that I would like to combine into one and put on my channel.
4.) If you could describe your channel in one sentence what would you say?
J: It’s a mess, haha. Honestly, I am still learning a lot along the way in terms of what I want my channel to center around and what I want in life. Becuase as I continue to grow in life, so will my channel. Ultimately I do not want to be stuck in a niche. I want to do travel videos, cinematic, fashion, tech review, motivational, and lifestyle vlogs. That’s a mouthful to say haha.
5.) Where do you see your life going in the next few years?
J: I see my life going in the best possible direction. Living my best life and becoming the best version of myself that I can. As well as being able to wake up and not worry about paying rent or putting food on the table. To sum it up I guess you can say it’s the freedom that I want.
6.) Last but not least what advice would you give to someone that wants to start youtube?
J: Hmm, understand that you only have one life and that you could die tomorrow (God forbid). That the human body is so fragile and as you all can see i am very philosophical. But honestly, I would say to believe in yourself when no one else will. Fail your way to success. When you don’t get the results you want, keep on going! Never give up. And think about what you love and make videos about that. Haha, I’m still learning also.
