Lesson In My Natural Hair Journey
Throughout my natural hair journey, I have been through many ups and downs. Whether it’s going through phases of my hair breaking off, dye and discovering new products, it has been a journey. As well as bad dye and color jobs that tremendously stunted my hair growth. But despite it all, I have grown to love and embrace my natural hair.
Even with my shrinkage, I still have chosen to love it. Because after years of comparing my hair to others, I have learned to stop caring. And focus more on appreciating my hair texture instead of wishing I could have another hair type.
Because when it all boils down to it, this is the hair that God gave me. And It’s better to be grateful for what you have, then wishing for something that is only a thought. So after all of these years, I can finally say that love of my hair, and I would never change it for anything in the world.
Whether you have straight, curly, kinky, or wavy hair, embrace your hair for what it is. Learn to work with your hair and find out what products your hair likes or does not like. But most importantly, always be grateful for the little things in life. Because you never know when life is going to throw you a curve ball.
