what is pho?
Pho for people who may not know is a Vietnamese soup dish that generally consists of a beef broth, rice noodles, spices and few other herbs. Along with other meats that include chicken, beef, and more. So for the first time last night, I decided to try Pho at this very cozy Vietnamese restaurant nestled in Philadelphia’s Chinatown area. Called the “Vietnam House” it is located on 901 Race Street.
Walking inside the restaurant, I felt a very relaxed and at home vibe. Once greeted by the hostess, I was taken to my seat. Once seated, I looked at the menu. While looking at the menu, I was confused at what to get. With so many delicious options on the menu that I felt like I was in food heaven. So after a few minutes, I decided to order the beef and brisket pho.
After placing my order, I waited patiently waiting for my food. A couple of minutes later the waitress bought my food over to the table. I was beyond pleased with the appearance, and it smelled amazing. So below is a picture of my meal from last night that I topped off with basil leaves and bean sprouts. I was able to take a picture of my delicious bowl of pho before it was all gone lol. The broth was tasty and the beef and brisket cooked to perfection. I was thoroughly pleased with my food, and I couldn’t get enough of it.
So if you guys live in Philadelphia or you come to visit be sure to explore Chinatown for some amazing Asian cuisine. You will not be disappointed with all of the things that you find whether you are in Chinatown or exploring other parts of Philadelphia.
