For a couple of weeks now, I have been using Pinterest to gain more traffic towards my blog. And I have to say that I have had great success. I am not only getting more traffic and email subscribers, but I am also earning more money on google adsense. So If you all want to know how I did it, then continue to read along.
My Pinterest Tips for blog traffic
1: Switching my Pinterest account to a business account
Intially, in the beginning, I never used my Pinterest for promoting my blog posts. I always just had the app lingering on my phone and periodically used it whenever I was bored. But once I switched my account to business, things started to look up. Views on my site went up, and my pins are doing great. So great that one of my pins recently hit 1.4k impressions and over 20 saves. As well as I have gained over 100 new followers.
2: Making Quality Pins
To create my pins, I normally use Canva which I also use to design my Instagram and Facebook posts. Because not only is this tool great for making designs, but you can easily design on the go with one simple click and download from your app store. So yes, I highly recommend making quality pins, so people are more inclined to repin your pins.
3: Joining Group Boards
Joining group boards is a great way to get more eyes on your pins. So find boards that fall into your niche or niches. So when I look for group boards to join, I like to use pingroupie.com. Just type in your category or niche, and you can find an array of boards to join.
4: Pinning At the Right Time
When it comes to pinning, sometimes pinning at the right time can get you more impressions on your pin. For me, I tend to pin more so on the weekends or later in the evening on weekdays. So if you want to know when to pin you can use tailwind, or look up articles online, about when is the best time to post on Pinterest.
5: Start Your Own Board
About a week ago, I created my first board. Mainly for bloggers like myself to help promote their blog posts. Since doing so, I have gotten more repins, as well as some new contributors to the board. My monthly views are about 3k, and it is growing every day. So to get more traffic, sometimes creating your own board is a great way for cross promotion.
If you are struggling to get traffic, then give Pinterest a try. Not only is it easy to use, but you can pin as much as you want. So happy pinning you all, and let me know if this post was helpful. Also, if any of you all would like to join my board, I am looking for niches that include lifestyle, beauty, art, and inspirational, and motivational posts.
