Turkey Meat 101
Are you a fan of turkey meat? Or do you find it very bland and unflavorful? If so continuing reading as I share with you all my tip on how to add more flavor to turkey meat. So since starting on my healthy journey 7 to 8 months ago, I have changed the way I view food. Especially when it comes to cooking healthier and learning to make different dishes.
Originally when I started cooking with turkey meat, It was a bit of a struggle. Mainly because I was so use to eating ground beef. And on top of that, I found ground turkey very bland. But once doing some research and many trials and errors, I have found out what works best for me.
So probably the most obvious tip I can give you all about turkey meat is to season it. So don’t be afraid to add some salt, pepper, or different herbs and spices to this bland meat. Because if you do not season it, you have yourself some unseasoned meat.
For me, I love using turkey meat in either a taco or chili. I find that the flavors used for these dishes work great with this meat. Some of the flavors and spices found include ground cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, chili powder and more.
Usually, when I make my tacos or chili I either add the ingredients from my cabinet, or I like to use chili powder packets. Sometimes, I may even use taco seasoning packets, but I don’t taste much of a difference. So for me, as long as my dish comes out delicious, I am good.
When it all boils down to it, I think one of the most fun things about cooking is experimenting. Being able to make mistakes and find out what works best for you is key to becoming a better cook. Because once you learn how to cook for yourself, you will save so money on take-out!
