A couple of days ago I uploaded my entry for Vidcon’s 2018 “Less Than Famous Panel” in Anaheim, California. For people who may not know what this event is, it’s basically an event geared towards youtubers. Or otherwise known as content creators like myself. The event lasts about 2 to 3 days in which you can meet some of your favorite youtubers and even attend workshops. For years I always dreamed of going to vidcon as either an attendee or being part of the “Less Than Famous Panel”. So now after years of being nervous, I decided to take a chance in hopes that I might get picked to be on the panel this year.
So for my submission entry, I had to upload a youtube video that was no longer than one minute. In my video, I had to explain why I deserved to be on the panel as well as answer the question “What does success on youtube mean to me?.” Which is definitely one question I had to ask myself since I never really thought about it that way. Originally when I started my channel over 5 years ago, I never intended on becoming famous or making a living off of youtube.
I saw it as my outlet to express myself and be creative. A platform where I can make the kind of content I want without any rules or limitations. Which is the same way I feel today and I am forever grateful to have this mindset.
Needless to say, I was very nervous when I recorded my video as some of you might could tell. Mainly because I did not want to mess up and I wanted everything to be perfect. So if you all liked my entry video above, be sure to like, comment, and subscribe. Other than that talk to you all in another post and wish me luck. Have a good day everyone!
