Starting a youtube channel on a budget can seem exciting and fun in the beginning. You think of all these ideas you have for your channel and being successful on youtube. Until you realize, that you may not have the professional equipment that other YouTubers have. So if that sounds like you, then continue to read along, as I share my tips on how to start a youtube channel on a budget.
My Youtube Tips
1. Record your Youtube Videos On Your Phone

Over five years ago, when I started my youtube channel, I did not have any fancy-dancy equipment. I basically used what I had, which was my webcam on my MacBook Pro until I was able to save enough money to get the camera I wanted. And eventually, after a little over a year, I decided to purchase my first DSLR camera, which was a Canon T5i. So basically long story short use what you have at your disposal. If you do not have enough money to buy a professional camera, then use your iPhone or smartphone. And as your channel continues to grow and expand, maybe in the future, consider getting a better camera.
2. Build Your Own Tripod Stand

Like I said before when I started my channel, I only had my MacBook Pro. And since I didn’t have a camera, it was never really a big deal to me to have a tripod stand at the moment. So to create the illusion that my webcam was on a higher angle, I would take books and magazines, and pile them on top of one another. And there you go, a homemade tripod stand that cost me nothing to buy.
3. Getting the right lighting

When it comes to making youtube videos, having adequate lighting is essential. So the best option when it comes to this is natural lighting. So if you live in an area that is mostly sunny, then let the sunshine be your best friend. But for another alternative if you can not always record your videos in the daytime or when the sun is out, then save up enough money to invest in a ring light or softbox light. Even though they can be a little expensive, you can always get a decent deal on either Amazon or eBay. Last but not least, if you can not afford to buy either a ring light or a softbox light find an area in your house that has good lighting.
4. Have fun with it

I can not say this enough doing youtube should be fun, and something you enjoy doing that makes you happy. Because unfortunately, a lot of people nowadays start youtube for the wrong reasons. So as long as you are having fun, and making the type of content that you want, then continue to enjoy the experience along the way.
In conclusion
Starting a youtube channel does not have to be super expensive in the beginning. As long as you have a device with decent audio and video quality, then you are all set to start your youtube channel on a budget.
